Lorenzo Barbiero awarded Best Student Paper Award at the Intelligent Systems Conference (IntelliSys 2025) in Amsterdam
We are delighted to celebrate the success of Lorenzo Barbiero, a recent graduate of the Physics of Data Master’s Degree, whose Master’s thesis has been awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the international Intelligent Systems Conference (IntelliSys 2025) in Amsterdam.
Lorenzo developed his thesis during his internship at Omnys, under the supervision of Stefano Campese, focusing on one of today’s most pressing challenges in the field of Large Language Models (LLMs): how to manage and handle complex queries that require retrieving diverse pieces of information across different contexts, all within a multilingual framework.
His work, “Domain-Specific and Cross-Lingual Synthetic Data Generation for Information Retrieval Training in RAG Applications”, was also published in the conference proceedings.
Congratulations to Lorenzo on this remarkable achievement!
