We are thrilled to announce that this year we have activated within the Physics of Data program, a new fundamental course titled “Information Theory and Inference”.
The course will present important topics such as various Bayesian inference techniques, computational methods and statistics of high dimensional dataset, information geometry, Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) techniques, Entropy and Learning and Interacting particle systems as inference tool.
We are honored that this year the course, starting in the second semester, will be taught by Prof. Jeff Byers (from Naval Research Laboratory, USA) and Prof. Carlo Albert (from EAWAG research institute, Switzerland).
